2013 Colorado Springs Balloon Classic {clarkestudio photography- colorado springs photographer}

To celebrate us being in Colorado Springs for more than a year, I decided to share some of my favorite images I took at this year’s Balloon Classic. Sadly the weather was not very agreeable for flying on Sunday, but Monday gave us beautiful clear skies and wonderful flying [and photographing] weather!

Enjoy!

Balloon Classic Collage 1After we moved to Colorado Springs in 2012, we were still adjusting to the altitude and getting used to our new way of life. The balloon festival last year was fun, but all we did was went to the Balloon Glo in the evening. I am so glad I got up early this year and went to the morning lift off.

We managed to get there just in time to see a multiude of hot air balloons hovering over the park.

Luckily we live close enough to walk but also close enough that we can’t leave our house without loosing our on street parking spots. I took this photo of hubby as we were walking to the park. He was on call at the hospital, and had to be ‘ready to go’ if he got paged. The lighting is so heavenly and don’t tell him I said this but I am so proud of him! He has worked so hard this past year to loose some weight, he has slimmed down and is even more handsome than ever. i love him so so much!
