Dressember Weekly Wrap Up 2

Screen Shot 2014-11-26 at 9.25.28 AMThis is my first time participating in Dressember which is a collaborative movement leveraging fashion and creativity to restore dignity to all women.

Dressember uses fashion to advocate for women who’ve been exploited for their femininity. As women take on the creative challenge of wearing a dress for the 31 days of December, they are advocating for the inherent dignity of all women.

Dressember exists to inspire and empower a global community of like-minded women who are locking arms to face one of the greatest injustices of our time.

The heart of Dressember is freedom– that every woman has the right to live a vibrant and autonomous life.

IMG_6075I cheated this week, I wish I could have been better but my mom and dad were in town and bought me cute tops I just couldn’t help but wear them!

I wore pants Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I could have worn a dress, I simply didn’t and I should have.

Tuesday I got back on track. It was hard, I really just wanted to wear jeans and a pullover and be done but I was determined to get back on track. I wore my navy dress with tights, boots and a long sleeve shirt over it. And I wore my pullover on top. I was warm and comfy.

Wednesday I wore my navy dress again but forgot to take a photo. (oops) This time I paired it with thick gray tights and a more natural sweater. I really like wearing my navy cotton dress this way. It’s comfy and very versatile. Expect to see more of this in the future!

Dress from Old Navy, Leggings from Target, Sperry Rain boots and North Face Rain Jacket

Thursday The weather forecasters predicted the storm of the century. I was in denial and procrastinated going to the bank until the down pour began, thus my dressember for today included rainboots and my raincoat. But I did get this simple, classy LBD (little black dress) at old navy for $9.75! #winning

Friday Rainy day here. I stayed home in my sweats and house shoes. Classy. I know.

  1. You have the cutest tights/leggings! I wish I would have participated in this – I’ve been wanting to wear my dressers and just need that nudge to do it. Maybe I’ll do my own version to push myself anyway 🙂
