I am a work from home professional and after many renditions of work spaces and trying new things, I have created a list of things to help you be more productive. Are you a blogger? Work from home professional? A busy gal who needs a place to pay the bills or scroll endlessly through Facebook? You need a workspace to be functional, productive, and aesthetically inspiring!
For me my home office has to be productive, and welcoming. I want to be excited to go to work in my office each day. So, here is how I set up my productive at home office space. Speaking of which here is a photo of my home office:
- a space just for work- you need a space just for work don’t use this space for anything else
- have everything you need there- what do you need to be productive in this new space pens, pencils, sketchpad, camera
- get comfy- you’re going to be spending a lot of time in this space so make sure you feel at home in it, get a comfy chair and set up a fan or space heater for optimum comfort
- get inspired- put up some posters, pictures, bulletin boards with pictures and quotes
What is a must have for your productive workspace? A radio? Endless coffee? A Goal Board? I’d love to hear what it is in the comments!
Be sure to pin these photos for updating and renovating your at home workspace!
I’m about to revamp an old spare bedroom into an at-home office and I’m so excited! Comfy and inspirational are BIG factors to me! I’m going to be spending a lot of time in there so I better love it, right?!
Totally agree!
I moved my office furniture after we put some new flooring in. It’s really strange how much more productive I am. I’m facing out of my office versus at the wall and I really like it!
It’s amazing what a change in perspective can do for your productivity!
I actually have an awesome home office my husband and I built in a corner of our basement, right off our playroom. I love having my own space but I really need to take some time to clean it up an organize it!
Great tips! My husband built me a shelf last year and we put up a bookshelf just to make sure that I had enough storage and didn’t have to run room to room for what I need. I also like to have a candle or warmer. There’s something about scent that makes a room feel cozier. And, if you know me, I love my plants so I have one or two (or four) in my office!
I just added a succulent to my office too! Hopefully my cats will never figure out how to get to it! 😂
