What could possible a more fall inspired shoe than the ankle bootie? It’s short shaft and perfect amount of heel dresses up your go-to denim and help you wave “buh bye” to summer wedges and embrace those cooler breezes.
My ‘go-to’ ankle bootie ensemble is ankle booties with cuffed skinny jeans and the top of my choice. I like this one as it feels casual but put-together.
Another way to wear ankle booties without cutting your leg visually is to wear the same color booties as pants/jeans and tuck the cuff into the top of the boot- this will lengthen your leg and help you look a little taller even if you are vertically challenged. (Like me)
My last and one of my favorites is the ankle bootie with tights, leggings, or socks and a simple dress. Dresses are such a great fall piece, and honestly I may wear them more in the fall than I do any other time of the year.

If you like wearing dresses, or even if you don’t, consider signing up and participating in Dressember. Where we choose to wear dresses for the month of December to raise funds & awareness of the modern slave trade.
