So, I finally got a pair of ABLE denim. I know I said I wasn’t going to invest in something like this for a while but when the opportunity came up I had to try them!
First, I ordered the The Skinny (a mid rise fit) in the Ceidi Wash. This is outside my comfort zone in a few ways;
1) it’s a light wash
2) it has a released hem & light distressing
3) it’s a mid rise- when I tried high rise denim I thought I’d never go back.

Fit: I should also tell you I’ve been a 27 (or a 4) for a long time. Even when I diet and exercise, I’m a 27 in denim. However, the 26 (the equivalent of a 2) is a better fit for me in these jeans. In fact the 26 fits me like the pair the model is wearing, more of a slim straight fit verses a more skinny jeagging style. The hip is still loose on me, but more like a comfortable loose for tucking a shirt in. It’s slim through the leg but not skin tight. This pair has a 30″ inseam and I am about a 29″, so it is a little gathered at the ankle but not by much. I will probably order a 25 if I get a second pair.
Comfort: These jeans are surprisingly soft. I was very surprised. Not super thick or heavy and I can’t wait to enjoy them this summer.

Details: I really love the distressing, it’s a trend I’ve enjoyed from afar for a long time and I’m so excited to have a casual pair of denim with this detail to enjoy! I do plan to add iron on patches to the inside to prevent too much wear on them over time.
Overall: I’d rate these a 4 out of 5, simply because the sizing seems so wonky. Other than that I simply love them and wear them every chance I get!
