Wear It Wednesday | St. Patricks Day Outfit Ideas

I’m not a huge fan of dressing up for these “minor” holidays, some people go all out and that’s fine and fun. Instead, I prefer to subtly rock the holiday theme without much fuss. Here are 3 fun green inspired looks that will keep you from missing out on the fun this March.

Outfit 1: Little Black Dress, Olive Utility jacket, flats, and a convertible crossbody bag

I call this my PNW inspired look, anything with a utility jacket reminds me of the PNW, it’s an easy office to night out look that doesn’t require anything fancy or extra. It’s complete and you’ll feel pretty wearing it too. If you need a little something extra, I recommend some statement earrings and a pendant necklace.

Not all the exact items are still available from these brands, instead I just wanted to show you how each look includes ethically made peices as well as some well loved not ethically made pieces. I believe in wearing what you have. And I didn’t buy anything new for these looks. Many of these items were purchased secondhand or thrifted.

Outfit 2: Green Sweater, light washed denim, leopard flats, and a floral skinny scarf

This is probably what I’ll end up wearing on St. Patricks day. It’s still plenty cold here and a lightweight sweater with comfy shoes is my go-to combination when I need to look put-together. The addition of the skinny scarf takes the outfit from mediocore to polished. I plan to finish the look with gold accessories and a hot cup of tea.

If you need to look to work on a colder day, swap your flats for boots add a vest and opt for a warmer scarf selection and done! I love how this sweater looks with a fleece vest and tall warm boots!

Outfit 3: Emerald Maxi dress with clogs, and a tassel clutch

This may be the fanciest looking of my 3 ensembles, and my personal favorite but really I’d wear this all day everyday if given the chance. The Maxi dress length is perfect for lingering winter wind, my clogs give me a little bit more height and I love the addition of feminine jewelry that round out this day to night look. As lovely as this dress is it is a bit greener than it photographs, so no worries there. If it’s a bit too cool, I’d recommend a denim jacket for this look.

After taking pictures in this outfit I simply didn’t want to take it off. If I had to pick out one of my favorite dresses, this would easily be it. Loved clothes last my friends!
