It’s finally spring here in Colorado Springs, and the weather is perfect for wearing lightweight jackets. I’m stoked to not be wearing heavy a heavy jacket anymore. If it is still cold where you are, I’m sorry. If it’s warm and springy where you are, let’s celebrate with a few ways to wear a denim jacket.
Look 1 | Dress & Flats
It’s finally warm enough to wear dresses sans tights or leggings and I couldn’t be happier! This midi length straight cut dress is perfect for spring and with the neutral gray is fun to play with. The Masaai earrings from Noonday are perfect for adding color to an otherwise neutral outfit and one that is definitely not my norm!

Look 2 | Denim, Tee, & Sneakers
As I’ve developed my style, I’ve come to love black denim and since I’m not 100% confident in a Canadian Tuxedo. Black denim is a great way to wear a denim jacket without feeling like head to toe denim. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a boots or sandals girl. Spring and Fall are the weird times when I wear flats and sneaker style shoes like my TOMS shoes.

Look 3 | Skirt, Tee, & Sandals
I’m not going to apologize for my white legs, on our first warm day I want nothing more than to wear dresses and skirts and sandals. So I paired my olive skirt with a slouchy tee and my slide on sandals from Sseko. I love this paperbag waist skirt because it can dress up a casual graphic tee, it is also fun to wear with sandals and of course a denim jacket.

What makes a denim jacket so great? My dad bought me this lightly distressed jacket a few years ago for Christmas and in winter it is loose enough to wear over a sweater or in the spring with casual outfits like these. While a denim jacket is a classic, but how you style it is what makes it unique.
