A few years ago for our anniversary my husband did 23 & Me ancestry kits to learn about our heritage. My husband has always been interested in ancestry as his mom was adopted. I figured mine was mostly European, cause have you looked at me? My results came back mostly European but not the countries I thought, guess we aren’t French?! Although I did turn out to be 50% + English/Irish! I wasn’t initially interested in my family history but after doing the DNA test, I’ve become fascinated with our immigration roots and have traced back our family to small towns in England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, & Switzerland! (not one family member was born or died in France)
Today in honor of my actual Irish Heritage, I am sharing 3 fun St. Patrick’s day outfit ideas!
Look 1
I had so much fun putting together this outfit! The weather has been bitter cold lately, so stretching myself to wear a skirt on occasion is fun change of pace. I added a mock neck top and a denim jacket for added warmth plus ankle boots cause I get a feeling it is still going to be cold in March.

Denim Jacket from my dad, similar from ABLE
Ankle Boots from The Root Collective
Look 2
I am a big fan of one-piece outfits; dresses, jumpsuits, rompers. I added this jumpsuit to my wardrobe during the pandemic so I haven’t been able to wear it nearly as often as I normally would. This military shade of olive green is the perfect neutral to wear with a denim jacket or this cozy cardigan and it coordinates with the camel leather of my ankle boots.
Jumpsuit from Elegantees
Cardigan from Wearwell
Mules from ABLE
Look 3
If wearing large swathes of green isn’t your style, I get it. I love pops of color with a more classically neutral outfit. So I coordinated this gray/black neutral outfit for pops of my 2 favorite colors with my tassel earrings and my favorite flats!
Sweater from Stitch Fix
Denim from ABLE
Flats from The Root Collective
Earrings from Starfish Project via The Lemonade Boutique
Will you dress up for St. Patrick’s Day this year? I’m all about dressing up for even the most minor holidays thank to COVID, I want to celebrate every single small victory and fun day on the calendar.
