Yes, I know we are all dreaming about spring! I am too! But the reality is the cold weather will still be around for a few more months, at least here in Colorado it will be even if we get hints of spring here and there. I will continue to layer until May, thanks to our weather here in Colorado.
So, I’m sharing a few looks on how to wear a mock neck top as a layer-able top for this transition season. I’ll be styling 2 tops, both from Elegantees one in a pine green and the other a crisp white so you can get a bit of variety!
Under a Dress
A mock neck top is the perfect piece to extend the life of summer dresses into the cooler and colder seasons, when necessary add tights. I experimented with this combination back in December and it has not let me down yet!
With Jeans
It’s a top so obviously it is perfect to pair with your favorite pair of jeans, I love tucking in a more fitted top like this mock neck with high rise denim to highlight my natural waistline. Add your favorite shoes, clearly mine are these leopard mules from ABLE, and ta da, you look and feel amazing.
Under a Jumpsuit
I was most skeptical of this combination, but I’d seen a few other bloggers and social media influencers try it so, I went for it. And honestly, the green top under that recycled chambray jumpsuit is my new favorite outfit, it was comfy and super flattering! I loved everything about that outfit and can’t wait to wear it on repeat!
Under a Sweater
Wearing a mock neck under a sweater is like the most wintery thing one can DO with a mock neck! Because it is more fitted it doesn’t add bulk under your sweater and it’s an additional layer between you and the frigid winter weather. This top wears well under a variety of sweaters, and if it gets warm you could shed a layer easily.
With a Skirt
Why not wear this flattering cut top with a skirt, instantly elevates it and makes it more feminine. Perfect for cold Sunday mornings, or just feeling cute and stylish despite the lingering cold weather!
Will winter be sticking around were you are? Trying styling a mock neck in a new way, especially with your warmer weather pieces if you are eager to wear them!
The mock tops with jeans are a really good look 🙂
How did I know you’d like that one?
