Begin by finding a quiet space and getting comfy in a chair with a journal & light a candle or add some oils to your diffuser. Rest you mind with a few deep breathes and center your energy on you.
Spring is a time of growth, life reemerging. Imagine for a moment you have been a seed buried under the soil in the dark. Under the snow waiting for warmth to poke out of the earth.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to throw away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
-Ecclesiates 3:1-88

When we have rested mentally and physically through winter, spring is a time to reawaken. Spring is the season to be born, a time to love, and hopefully with the new vaccine a time to embrace.
Mediate for a moment on the energy of spring and how it aligns with the spring season. What does this time of year represent to you?
Notice how your energy of spring is stirring within you. What needs to be refreshed this season? Is there a new project you are inspired to begin or restart? With the warmer temps, the sun out, the grass becoming greener, and the animals emerging from their homes, how will you hone this new energy of growth?
Feel the energy within your body. As new ideas and words come into your mind, offer them to God or a Higher Being. How does this project or energy feel to you? What images, fears, or thoughts are being stirred in you?
Make a list of 3 things you want to hold up as important during this season.
Now write down 3 ways you will take action for each of the things you listed.
Remember you can only do so much, perhaps some actions will feel incredibly small like make a phone call, or text. Others will feel larger taking time off work to rest your mind & your body, going offline for 2 days.
During this season of rest of winter, how did you care for your physical, mental, and spiritual health? Don’t forget to make time for these self care routines during this season of energy and growth. You can’t draw from an empty well.
Before you end this mediation, take 3 deep breathes. If you are looking for inspiration on ways to use your creative spring energy try; doing some spring cleaning, beginning a garden, volunteering, taking an online painting class.
