April showers bring May flowers, or in the case of this blog post. April showers will hopefully end soon enough so we can wear these May floral dresses. While most of my closet is solids these floral dresses are just what I need to be energized for the spring and summer. Taking my simple wardrobe to a more feminine level.

You can easily wear a dress with less coverage by adding a layer, dress it up with a scarf over your shoulders or wear with a denim jacket. Stay warm on cooler spring days by reaching for flats or ankle boots instead of sandals. And as always if it’s cool reach for a longer dress instead of a shorter one or add leggings or tights.

Dress 1 | Cheryl Tunic Dress, mum floral

This bold coral tunic dress has a ballet neckline which is wide, so be prepared with a strapless bra. It has fun ruffle sleeves and it has pockets. I’m wearing this dress with cute flats, sandals, and layering with a denim jacket when necessary. For cooler days, I am going to layer this dress over some leggings for extended wear into the fall!

Dress 2 | Maria Wrap Dress, urban floral

I feel like a Grecian Goddess in this dress, the earthy neutral palette coordinates with my wardrobe perfectly. Not to mention the painted gold flecks feel so glamorous in my closet. The bottom half of this dress is lined and it is a TRUE wrap dress, if I ever got to walk a red carpet this would be the dress I would pull out of my closet to wear; it feels glamorous, alluring, and incredibly feminine. The color palette makes it easy to wear from spring to fall just add ankle boots and a cute hat.

Dress 3 | Kaile Tiered Dress, Pink Floral

Whether you prefer a short dress or something a bit longer the Kaile tiered dress is the perfect dress. Each tier is attached by a zipper so you can wear it up to 3 different lengths; maxi, midi, or at the knee. Take it from a casual summer day to elegant celebration by adding a tier or two to the hem. You’ll find me wearing this dress all spring and summer at varying lengths for everything from church to celebrations, and just day to day life!

Add some spring to your wardrobe with a beautiful floral, depending on the color palette it could easily be a lovely addition for year round wear!
