If you’re like me, then Father’s Day and any day to buy a guy a gift is one that causes anxiety. Because in my experience men are very hard to buy for. So my tip is to consider what he loves and what he needs and get him one of each!
If your guy needs new pieces for his wardrobe, The Root Collective just released their first men’s shoe this year! The Pablo boot is handmade in Guatemala and can be dressed up or down, truly an heirloom shoe if there ever was one for your guy! When picking out clothes, I usually give my husband some say in the matter, because regardless of how much I might like something for him if he doesn’t think it’s him he won’t wear it. Ever. My husband’s favorite basics are from Pact Apparel, they are soft organic cotton and well made! Goex is another basics brand based in Kansas City, with some cool graphic tees.
For cool summer looks, Passion Lilie has fair trade made button down tops for your guy in a variety of prints on cotton and to top it off add a cool handmade hat from Ninakuru!
What about non clothing gift ideas, Shelby? Well, this is were it gets tricky for me. My guy is so hard to buy for I genuinely struggle but here are some non apparel items to consider. You can never have too many sunglasses, and with summer literally just a month away a pair from Pala will get lots of use! Does he travel often? How about a luggage kit, like this one from Shore Bags? Made from organic materials, it’s the perfect size and can carry everything he needs for jet setting across the country for work or road tripping with the family! Be sure to add a few necessities or a treat!
Freshen up the photos in his office with a mini photo session from a local photographer and add his favorite photo to this picture frame from Maison Soleil! (Get 15% at Maison Soleil with code: SHELBY15)
For the well-manicured guy, a nice safety razor like this one, is a great and sustainable option. Add a bar of handmade soap from Mountain Time Soap, a local CO brand to complete the gift!
That’s all I’ve got friends! Good Luck & Happy shopping for Father’s Day 2021!
