My closet is full of solids. Prints really aren’t how I’d describe my style in fact, I wouldn’t even say I’m usually drawn to prints. There are some prints that are quirky and cute enough to even make me excited to wear them! The Isabelle Cosmic Universe Convertible skirt from KINdom, is one of those prints. I especially love this skirt because of its adjustable length making it versatile and unique. Each tier has a hidden zipper so I can easily remove or add length in a snap, or in this case a zip!

About the Brand

KINDOM uses sustainable, natural, recycled, reclaimed, and indigenous materials, fair trade-made in ethical and compliant facilities, while also offering size-inclusive & gender-inclusive fashion.

The KINDOM branding is compostable – natural cotton labels, printed with water base ink to reduce pollution to the planet, and unbleached hang tags connected by natural jute twine with a metal pin. No plastic!

Each product that comes out of factories need to be individually packed in plastic poly bags to prevent damage. The world produces between 80 billion to 150 billion garments a year alone, and that’s a lot plastic! We refuse to add to this detrimental mayhem to the Earth, so we use a vegetable-based bioplastic to pack and store each product in. When shipping, we use recycled poly mailers made of 100% recycled content, 50% of which post-consumer waste, or existing mailers and boxes that we reuse.

A graphic tee with a similar design & sweet message is the perfect companion to this universe skirt. Styled with classic white sneakers for a city-inspired outfit, I can see myself enjoying a day walking through a big city. NYC here I come! This look features the skirt at its shortest length, which for me is below my knee, that’s what happens when you’re 5’2″

Need to elevate the outfit? Reach for a timeless Chambray button-down and classic chestnut leather loafer flats, wear to the office or grab brunch with friends. This outfit won’t let you down and is more subtle for those easing into the printed skirt trend! This is with the skirt at full length, all 3 tiers.

Nothing says summer better than a bodysuit, skirt, and sandals. With this outfit, you’re ready for the hottest summer days ahead of you. Heading to walk around downtown or to lounge poolside with your girlfriends! Perfect vacation-ready look for being out and about! This outfit I have the skirt at it’s mid length with 2 tiers, it’s not a great photo of the length but it falls above my ankle between a midi and a maxi.

Outfit 4

My favorite thing about this outfit is how easily it goes from work to night out with friends. I can wear this neutral olive tee with my skirt, and the colorful flats coordinate with the planets on my skirt and are a staple to my style! This is with the skirt at its shortest length, just below my knee.

I love wearing this skirt with a variety of tops for summer and fall. When fall turns to winter I plan to style this skirt with a fitted mock neck and ankle boots with a cardigan. Perfect for wearing to the office or for a Saturday girl’s brunch. One of the biggest takeaways I had from the pandemic is to wear the outfit, don’t wait for the ‘right’ occasion, wear it now and wear what you like.
