Seasonal clothes are a side effect of our fast-fashion culture, which is why it is so important to me to wear my clothes for as much of the year as possible. Now, to be fair you won’t find me wearing shorts in January or my down jacket in August. But I do try to extend as much of my regular wardrobe throughout the year, including my dresses. This helps me to wear more of my wardrobe throughout the year & requires a certain level of creativity.
While linen is often associated with warm summer days, that doesn’t mean you can’t wear it in January. The midi cut of the June dress by Liz Alig helped me get through Dressember and gets me excited for spring!

Look 1 Warm for Winter
For the winter weather that has just arrived here in Colorado, I paired this dress over a black mock neck top for plenty of coverage and my favorite Chelsea Boots. I really loved the beatnik vibe of this look perfect for sipping coffee at the newest artisan coffee shop while tapping away on a typewriter…not really. Okay, really but without the typewriter.

Look 2 Spring Style
Spring Ready, ever since adding these white sneakers to my wardrobe last summer they are my go-to for a more relaxed look. Perfect for shopping at the summer farmer’s market or running errands around town. I loved how easy it was to dress this down with my favorite denim jacket, I could even add a ball cap for a day at the ballpark.

Look 3 Work Ready
So smart & perfectly cozy, looks great on its own with smart loafer flats and a cozy cardigan. While I was initially unsure how well this green would look with my burgundy/maroon cardigan, I really love it. Perfect for work, church, or lunch dates with hubby during the week! Plus my lipstick matches this cardigan so beautifully.

You’ll catch me rocking this June dress all year long in 2022 because I love the rustic look of linen and its effortless look. So, in 2022 I’ll be dressing this up and down and everything in between for the foreseeable future!
you look great in all the outfits:)
