Shelby is an Ethical, Sustainable, & Slow Fashion Stylist and Blogger who loves reading, gardening, and fashion that empowers women globally.
A born & raised Texan, Shelby studied Interior Design at Stephen F Austin SU. Go Lumberjacks! After graduating with her BS in design she married her college sweetheart and lived in Waco, across Colorado, and in central California before making her way back to Colorado Springs and calling it home.
Shelby has always loved creating, after a few interior design jobs, she decided to apply for a job as a stylist with Stitch Fix and found her calling to empower women with their personal style. But she had questions about the fashion industry and the ethics of fast fashion. After a lot of research and conversations, she devoted herself & her closet to a slower way of being. To be mindful of where the things she wears come from, who makes them and what they are made of. Today, she is a stylist with Wearwell an ethical fashion subscription service styling her clients with ethical, fair trade, sustainable, and vegan brands that reflect their values.
In her spare time, Shelby loves to garden and use her fresh herbs when cooking for her partner, she finds getting her hands dirty so relaxing. She also loves crocheting, hiking, and visiting National Parks with her partner.
When she isn’t styling, or getting her hands dirty in the garden, she’s volunteering with her local Service Adventure Unit through Mennonite Mission Network & with Family Promise to provide food and company to families experiencing homelessness.
You’ll find Shelby hanging out with her partner, traveling across the US to visit family, hike, and explore new cities!
