March 30 - Lenten Reflection

I only realized how close I was to completing this Lenten challenge on Wednesday or Tuesday of this week. I'm hopeful that by the end of it, I'll have developed healthier social media habits. Like journaling more, using my doodle journal, or reading.

Since the big snowstorm, we've returned to the unpredictable highs and lows of spring weather in Colorado Springs. I've been borrowing one of my boss's e-bikes and absolutely enjoying riding it to work and around town. I can feel my confidence growing, and if I could afford one, I'd buy an e-bike in a heartbeat. Unlike my friend who instantly loved it, it took me a few rides to realize how amazing it is.

My commute to work on the e-bike is only slightly longer than in my car. Plus, I crocheted these cute ear warmers for my bike helmet, which keep my ears toasty on cold mornings. However, I do need warmer gloves or hand warmers because the ones I have don't keep my fingers warm enough.

When I started my current job, I never expected to become a cyclist so quickly, especially considering my past bike trauma. Yet, in less than a year, here I am biking to work. Initially, I wanted to emphasize that it's an e-bike, but now I realize it doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm biking to work.

Riding e-bikes through Garden of the Gods, October 2023

This weekend is expected to be a beautiful Easter weekend here in Colorado Springs, with highs near the 60s. It'll be perfect for wearing spring dresses without tights or boots, although a light sweater might be nice. It's our weekend getaway, and I'm excited to reset and have some fun with friends.
